Tifnit is a small fishing town south of Agadir on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. A beach front restaurant was recommended to us by the owners of Dar Zahia in Taroudant. I love the name and spelling of the restaurant.
Tifnit est un petit port de pêche au sud d'Agadir, sur la côte atlantique du Maroc. Les propriétaires de Dar Zahia à Taroudant nous avaient recommandé ce restaurant de poisson. J'adore le nom et l'orthographe!
Getting ready for the tourists on the beach. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told that we would have to wait a few minutes for the meal as the fishermen had not arrived yet.
On se prépare, sur la plage, pour l'arrivée des touristes. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés au restaurant, on nous a dit qu'il fallait attendre la livraison du poisson.
Sure enough, "our" fish arrived via this bright blue boat a few minutes later. Can't get any fresher!
Et de fait, "nos" poissons sont arrivés quelques minutes plus tard tout frais pêchés.

Les oignons destinés à la salade marocaine finissaient de rougir au soleil...
…and soon our host got busy at the BBQ.
… et notre cusinier s'attaqua au barbecue.
And voilà! cucumber, red onion and tomato salad sprinkled with olives, and the freshest, perfectly grilled fish one can find. And of course, mint tea. Heavenly!
Résultat, une salade marocaine de tomates, concombres et oignons rouges et du poisson des plus frais et parfaitement grillé. Et évidemment, du thé à la menthe. Une merveille!
